Thalys First Class
The Thalys is probably the only train where you choose to travel first class because it’s the cheaper option. The added value – broader seats, journals, meal, snacks and drinks – have a serious flaw, though, as I had to realize. When you ask for a beer, they serve canned Jupiler! Which is, in my humble opinion, rather emblematic for proletarian consume habits than being a suitable company on a supposedly elitist way of travelling…
